Jardine Cycle & Carriage has announced its partnership with Gogoro, a global technology leader in battery swapping ecosystems, to pilot electric two-wheeled vehicles and battery swapping in Singapore.

Gogoro was founded in 2011. Since its founding, it has rapidly expanded its global footprint, revolutionising the way that people use and share energy by re-imagining what fuel can be for millions of two-wheelers around the world. Gogoro is ranked #1* worldwide in light EV battery swapping. 

Earlier in September, Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) awarded Gogoro with a sandbox pilot to deploy and validate battery swapping as a means for next generation smart mobility. To kick off its sandbox pilot, Gogoro has partnered with Jardine Cycle & Carriage (JC&C). JC&C’s 100%-owned subsidiary Cycle & Carriage Singapore will be the exclusive distributor for Gogoro’s electric scooters, and to operate and install Gogoro’s battery swapping infrastructure.
