Jardines takes a strategic and collaborative approach to managing its portfolio companies. While each portfolio company operates independently with full accountability for its strategy and performance, Jardines provides oversight and guidance through its representatives on their boards. This structure allows us to share expertise, values and networks across the Group, while respecting the autonomy of each portfolio company’s board and executive leadership.

Our strengthened governance model ensures that portfolio company leadership teams are directly accountable to their respective boards, which include independent non-executive directors with deep industry knowledge. Jardines contributes at the strategic level – supporting long-term value creation, maintaining strong financial discipline, and upholding Group-wide values such as integrity, collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. We also foster synergies across the Group in areas like sustainability and shared services, enabling our companies to thrive both individually and collectively.

We influence strategy and drive performance through representation on the boards of our portfolio companies, which have clear accountability for strategy, operational effectiveness, and delivering on sustainability commitments.
