Shaping social inclusion
Our social license to operate is strengthened by creating long-term value for our colleagues, partners and communities. At Jardines, we develop initiatives that promote a more inclusive society with a focus on equitable access to education, healthier communities and supporting livelihoods. We also actively engage colleagues and communities through our Group-wide volunteering programmes to maximise positive impact for our communities.
We prioritise the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our colleagues and communities. We have been committed to supporting mental health for over two decades through our registered charity, MINDSET, which operates in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Our businesses strive to improve access to opportunities which enhance the quality of life among our colleagues and communities where we operate.
Our key focuses include:
- supporting quality of life through programmes offering skills development to less privileged individuals to help them achieve self-sufficiency; and
- providing the means for people to achieve financial stability and live their lives with dignity
The Group-wide Colleague Volunteering Programme (‘CVP’) was established in 2021 to strengthen and enhance volunteering efforts across Jardines. Through CVP, Jardines promotes opportunities and creates platforms for our Group companies to share ideas on community engagement and volunteering. They also increase their impact through collaborative actions with other businesses and by opening registration for their community engagement activities to colleagues from other Jardines businesses.
