We work collaboratively with government agencies, healthcare service providers and NGOs to strengthen and develop the fabric of mental health support within our communities. Our partnerships provide resources and expertise, which in turn allow us to develop comprehensive and effective mental health campaigns and programmes to ensure that those who are in need of mental health care have access to appropriate support and resources.
A Strategic Partnership between MINDSET and Mind HK has been established since 2019 to develop our shared vision and mission to improve mental health awareness and reduce stigma towards mental health issue in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Mental Health Conference 2020: Youth in Focus was our first flagship project. More than 40 local and international speakers shared their research findings and insights on youth mental health in this three-day hybrid event. It was very well received with over 1,600 participants including medical practitioners, educators, social workers, business professionals and youth. For more details, please click here.
Another key programme is the Anti-stigma Campaign, supported by an evidence-based research rolling out till 2023 across Hong Kong. People with lived experience of mental health issue would be trained as Ambassadors to share their stories and advocate for mental health through public events and media engagement.
In collaboration with Kwai Chung Hospital under the Hospital Authority, we developed Health-in-Mind (HIM) Programme for Hong Kong adolescents since 2002. It aims to empower secondary students as advocates to promote mental health to fellow students, their families, and the public at large through interactive activities and experiential personal development training. The programme has achieved significant success with 97 local secondary schools participated and over 130,000 students, teachers and parents benefited thus far.
