Fundamental Computing Skills for Service Users
Jardine Ambassadors from Jardine OneSolution (JOS) and other volunteers organized an interactive computer training session to enhance the fundamental computing skills of rehabilitated people.
The half-day workshop aimed to help equip service users with key computer skills, which would be an advantage for them when applying for jobs.
Trainers from JOS worked with 20 service users from Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association on word processing, spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentation using Microsoft Office.
The workshop's instructor, Daniel Yim, Manager of Operations, Planning and Management of JOS China, stimulated interest by demonstrating lively examples and case studies and by imparting practical information to the participants.
"The participants were fully involved in the interactive training process and the feedback was very positive," said Mr Yim.
服務使用者學習基本電腦技巧
來自怡和科技的親善大使與義工合作籌辦互動電腦培訓課程，提升精神康復者的基本電腦應用技巧。
半天的工作坊旨在教導服務使用者掌握主要的電腦技巧，藉此幫助他們求職。
在怡和科技員工的指導下，浸會愛群社會服務處和新生精神康復會的20 位服務使用者利用微軟辦公應用軟件，學習商業文書處理、財務試算表和圖表簡報的使用方法。
是次培訓班的導師是怡和科技中國營運管理經理嚴崇威。為提升學員的興趣，他特別挑選了日常商業環境的實例和個案研究，為參加者設計實用的課程。
嚴崇威說：「在互動培訓過程中學員均十分投入，對課程的意見亦十分正面。」
