Supporting Mental Health Congress 2007
MINDSET and a number of Jardine Matheson Group companies will be sponsoring the World Federation for Mental Health Biennial Congress to be held on 19th to 23rd August 2007 in Hong Kong. The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong will join hands with the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association and the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists, supported by the Commissioner for Rehabilitation, HKSAR Government, for hosting the 2007 Congress.

Bringing together local mental health workers, educators, consumers, carers and professionals who will look vigorously into the importance of mental health issues and draw them to the attention of governments and leaders in the regions, the Congress is a worthy initiative that can promote mental health in an international arena. The last congress was held in September, 2005 in Cairo, Egypt.

Acknowledged as the Co-host of the Congress, MINDSET and a number of Group companies will be supporting the Congress by making both in-kind and cash donations, including hotel accommodation to be jointly sponsored by Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and The Excelsior; food and beverage to be provided by Maxim's Caterers and 7-Eleven Hong Kong and a cash donation of HK$380,000.00 contributed by MINDSET.

二零零七年精神健康會議
「思健」及怡和集團旗下公司將贊助於二零零七年八月十九日至二十三日舉行，由世界精神健康協會舉辦之雙年會。香港心理衛生會將連同新生精神康復會及香港精神科醫學院攜手主持二零零七年會議。香港特別行政區政府衛生福利及食物局康復專員亦已答允在這方面提供支援。

會議將集合本地精神健康服務人員，教育人員、消費者、護理人員及專業人士，讓他們深入探討精神健康的重要性，並呼籲各地政府及領袖對問題加以重視，期望有助國際推動精神健康活動。上一屆會議於二零零五年九月在埃及開羅舉行。

「思健」將為協辦單位，並聯同多間集團旗下公司為大會提供現金及物資贊助，包括由香港文華東方酒店和怡東酒店提供酒店房間住宿，美心集團及7-Eleven香港捐贈食物及飲品；而「思健」亦會捐出港幣三十八萬元資助大會經費。

Group Companies Support Mental Health through the Community Chest
Jardine Matheson Limited, Hongkong Land, Dairy Farm, Zung Fu, Gammon Construction and other Group companies donated over HK$1.8 million to the Community Chest to support mental health related causes in the year 2006/7:

• Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service for its mental health project.
• Mental Health Association of Hong Kong for its volunteer service in mental health.
• New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association for its assurance of quality care for residential service.

集團公司透過公益金支持精神健康
怡和管理有限公司、置地公司、牛奶公司、仁孚行、金門建築及其他集團公司捐出善款超過港幣一百八十萬元予公益金、以支持於二零零六至二零零七年度推動有關精神健康的各項活動：

• 浸會愛群社會服務處用於各項精神健康社區活動
• 心理衛生會用於支援精神健康社區服務活動
• 新生會用於維持住宿服務素質

MINDSET Club Opens in Castle Peak Hospital
A renovation project funded by MINDSET enabled a staff premise at Castle Peak Hospital to be converted into a community centre. Subsequently named MINDSET Club, the new centre is providing various activities to people with mental illness, their families, carers, and the public. The renovation was undertaken by Group companies, including Gammon, JEC, IKEA and JOS.

The MINDSET Club was officially opened by Jardine Matheson Group former Managing Director Percy Weatherall and Professor John Leong, JP, Chairman, Hospital Governing Committee, Castle Peak Hospital on 14th January, 2006.

青山醫院「思健俱樂部」開幕
「思健」撥款青山醫院以改建一個舊員工褔利社成為多用途活動中心的工程已經完成。命名為「思健俱樂部」的新中心將提供多元化服務予精神病患者，其關顧者及家人、以至社會各階層人士。整項改建工程由集團公司之金門建築、怡和機器、宜家傢俬及怡和科技提供。

「思健俱樂部」於二零零六年一月十四日開幕，由前怡和集團常務董事韋德樂及青山醫院醫院管治委員會主席梁智仁主持開幕典禮。
